Southwest Washington Youth Cheerleading (SWYC)
SWYC is sideline recreational cheer program for youth in grades K–8 who live in Clark County and the surrounding areas. Athletes cheer on the sidelines for Clark County Youth Football teams, learning the fundamentals of cheer while building confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Each athlete is placed on a team with a dedicated volunteer coach and will attend one or two practices per week, depending on the team’s schedule. Cheerleaders get their time to shine on Saturdays – Game Days!
Throughout the season, SWYC athletes develop cheerleading skills, chants, dances, and routines, while also building confidence, leadership, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
SWYC offers a Parade Squad over the summer, giving athletes a fun opportunity to perform in community parades, showcase their skills, and be part of the SWYC family outside of football season.

Volunteer Coaching SWYC
Being an SWYC Cheerleading Coach is a fun and rewarding experience! You don’t need prior cheerleading experience to lead your own squad—we provide all the tools and guidance you need for a successful first season. Coaches who have a child on the team also enjoy a discounted registration fee.
As a coach, you have the flexibility to set your own practice schedule and bring your unique ideas to the team. This is a great opportunity if you’d like your child or relative to cheer for a specific football team that doesn’t yet have a squad!
